When I was in art college was the first time where I had to draw like... a lot.
Before that I always draft in my notebooks, but then I had to take it seriously.
I had to worry about the perspective, about anatomy, about the line.

I drew so much... that the results exceeded the ideas.
Suddenly I stopped drawing and started practicing.
I would take X minutes a day where I would study the shape.
But I was never satisfied. It always came out something immature.
When I finished my degree I stopped drawing.
I was no longer confident about it. All I saw were the mistakes.
And then one day, in the middle of a meeting, I started sketching on a blank sheet of paper.
A silly drawing, an ill-defined line, a non-existent anatomy.
But before anything else, a drawing by me.
And then it hit me.
I spent so much time studying and practicing for a result.
I forgot the basics. How much fun it is to make art.
That's why. I don't care if you consider yourself an artist or a hobbyist.
I don't care if you're a painter or a programmer.
If you charge or give away.
I need to ask you something.
DO. BAD. ART.

Social Media teach us that the visibility of art depends of how skilled you are.
We are so filled with information competing with everyone, that either you are at Ghibli's level or you are nobody.
But we don't see the path. We only see the pieces that the algorithm says that are popular, not the whole bunch of others.
I need to ask you a favor and that is to please: FUCK ART.
Art is personal. Art is expression. Art is the humanity itself.
Broke the line, blend the perspective. Draw googly eyes, bad hands and characters without complementary colors.
Don't search perfection, search expression.
Don't try to reach others.
Try to express yourself.
As an artist I know how exausting can be to feel like you'll never reach the level you want.
But I promise you that I, as well as many other artists, will be so damn happy to help you as much as we can.
Because unlike what many people think. Artists and non-artists.
This is not a competition.
